Vítor Baia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes FC Kadzidlowen got a freekick which was hit by Kryspin Gabis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaspar Van Den Broeck in the 12th minute of play forced FC Kadzidlowen's goalkeeper Emil Kiepski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Kiepski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ümit Karan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Ümit Karan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Kiepski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Rogério Pestana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ümit Karan in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Kadzidlowen's goalkeeper Emil Kiepski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Jaspar Van Den Broeck made a precise shot to the right of Emil Kiepski. FC Kadzidlowen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. FC Kadzidlowen's Emil Kiepski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kadzidlowen from getting a goal against them. Alberto Tevez scored 1-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Baia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Kadzidlowen were victorious despite being under pressure from Brugge United for much of the match.
