In the 4th minute, Maxim Tsigalko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samurai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Samurai's Vince Di Cola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Samurai from getting a goal against them. Maxim Tsigalko scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgardo Rondanelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxim Tsigalko in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Rondanelli saved Talcampeón FC from getting behind. The throw-in from Sergi Hoevel in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Samurai's Morgan Vassenius. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Skytt in the 23rd minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Rondanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Samurai's Maxim Tsigalko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Rondanelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Samurai's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Allan Bivall in the 26th minute. After taking down the ball on Samurai's corner Allan Bivall fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edgardo Rondanelli quite easily take care of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Samurai's Maxim Tsigalko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgardo Rondanelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A sloppy throw-in by Sergi Hoevel in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Samurai's Abram Cadabra. 36 minutes into the game, Samurai's Maxim Tsigalko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgardo Rondanelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Talcampeón FC's Mauricio Vidma quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cafu Dolar, made in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Talcampeón FC's Marcelino Fritz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Maxim Tsigalko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Rondanelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Edgardo Rondanelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maxim Tsigalko went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maxim Tsigalko to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergi Hoevel during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Talcampeón FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Sergi Hoevel hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Tsigalko came free, but Edgardo Rondanelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Samurai were awarded a corner. Allan Bivall went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Abram Cadabra at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Talcampeón FC. 1-6. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Talcampeón FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Allan Bivall was slow to take the kick. During this time Samurai's players had a chance to rest. Marcus Skytt was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Maxim Tsigalko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Tsigalko in the 63rd minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Rondanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Talcampeón FC's Edgardo Rondanelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Tsigalko in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Tsigalko came free, but Edgardo Rondanelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxim Tsigalko in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Rondanelli saved Talcampeón FC from getting behind. Samurai's Åke Hamnberg was substituted for Hernán Grana. Wu Qi might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgardo Rondanelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wu Qi ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgardo Rondanelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wu Qi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lolo Acharan kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Åke Hamnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Rondanelli having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Wu Qi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Rondanelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. If Abram Cadabra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes Samurai got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Dolar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Fritz in the 89th minute of play forced Samurai's goalkeeper Vince Di Cola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Rondanelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samurai's Allan Bivall was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgardo Rondanelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cafu Dolar kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Wu Qi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Rondanelli was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The Samurai supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Samurai would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
