The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Capixaba's Téo Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Lucila in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Toro Martínez came free, but Téo Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toro Martínez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Téo Leite having to make a save. Téo Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Martínez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Atlético Capixaba's André Guimarães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Peli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Téo Leite came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez. But to his dismay, Toro Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 46 minutes into the game, Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Téo Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wiliam Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toro Martínez might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Téo Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toro Martínez ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toro Martínez got free with Téo Leite in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arturo Arano struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Téo Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despidida AFC. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Emiliano Velasco replaced Toro Martínez. Téo Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szymon Pyrzyce, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 85th minute, Emiliano Velasco made a precise shot to the right of Téo Leite. Atlético Capixaba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Kopacz in the 88th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Téo Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Czeslaw Kopacz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-8. Téo Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Despidida AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
