In the 10th minute of the match tHe SOnS of rAGnar got a corner. A.S. Udinese's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Grigoris Kornaros ran over to the corner to take the kick. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Grigoris Kornaros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alvaro Rotili in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 12 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's Alexander Bottone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Sá narrowly saved just below the crossbar. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's attentive Aurelio Lucian managed to snatch the ball when Alexander Damiani made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. The corner led A.S. Udinese's Alberigo Di Franco to fire away a dangerous shot which José Sá despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 21st minute Alexis Alexandris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rotili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexis Alexandris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Alexandris, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 33 minutes of play, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Alexis Alexandris made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Alexandris in the 38th minute of play. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Alexandris, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd match minute, tHe SOnS of rAGnar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Norling to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A.S. Udinese's Dino Pozzoli was substituted for Bruno Maranzano. Dino Pozzoli made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alexander Bottone however managed to control. A.S.
