After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Emilio Grimaldi managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Mims's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Grimaldi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Vermeiren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FC Mims booed when Dutch Rebels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Ranolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Dutch Rebels players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Mims were winning 1-2.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Mims would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
