But to his dismay, Martin Palermo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Hugo Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Palermo went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Magic is Back from getting a goal against them. In the 46th minute of the match FRANK got a corner. Magic is Back's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Snorre Bredal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Snorre Bredal made a great header on FRANK's corner, it was just that Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez managed to reach the ball for a save. Torjus Hansen charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torjus Hansen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FRANK's Torjus Hansen got a free kick in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, FRANK's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Palermo came free, but Hugo Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 49th minute Magic is Back were awarded a corner. Marcelo Trobbiani went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Marcelo Trobbiani almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FRANK's Hugo Moraes did a great save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A sloppy throw-in by Miguel Nicolau in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FRANK's Torjus Hansen. Martin Palermo took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Moraes. Hugo Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Martin Rogne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ruben Sánchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Palermo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. When Magic is Back's Martin Palermo in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind FRANK's goalkeeper Hugo Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Martin Palermo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Magic is Back made a substitution. Rodolfo Arruabarrena replaced Marcelo Trobbiani. Magic is Back's Roberto Mouzo was substituted for Roland Schiavi. Torjus Hansen kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 83 minutes in the game Luis Medero did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luis Medero. If Osvaldo Potente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 84 minutes into the match, FRANK's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Potente came free, but Hugo Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
