But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenny Alströmer couldn't finish the play. Kenny Alströmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Porteño Prowess FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hassan Brousseau in the 14th minute. Racing Club【LBF】's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Alströmer in the 18th minute of play. Cláudio Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Alströmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing Club【LBF】's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Alströmer in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Porteño Prowess FC's Kenny Alströmer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cláudio Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cláudio Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenny Alströmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenny Alströmer in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cláudio Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Kenny Alströmer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Severino Jatsus short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Alejandro Gavilanes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 47th match minute, Racing Club【LBF】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucho Gonzales to maneuver through the defense. The Racing Club【LBF】 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Porteño Prowess FC were winning 0-2.

In the 53rd minute Manuel Marchidan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Gavilanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Gavilanes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Marchidan's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Kenny Alströmer took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Cláudio Taffarel to make any attempt to save it. If Kenny Alströmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. Jaime Cordero scored 1-6 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejandro Gavilanes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 90th play minutes Kenny Alströmer shot 1-7, a short shot which went by Cláudio Taffarel and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Kenny Alströmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porteño Prowess FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenny Alströmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
