Isidro Christobal was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in DEPOTIVO SJ's zone, Ricky Kalischer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Christobal came out of the goal and Ricky Kalischer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filiberto Bermudez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Clemente Benvido skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Mario Ezkerra fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DEPOTIVO SJ's protests and gave Mario Ezkerra a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to DEPOTIVO SJ getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mario Ezkerra hit a great ball. Ricky Kalischer might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Christobal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricky Kalischer ran back to his position shaking his head. Aristides Villanueva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aristides Villanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Christobal having to interfere. Clemente Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Ricky Kalischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustino Egoi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Lucio Balesio struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Clemente Benvido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DEPOTIVO SJ. 43 minutes into the game, Filiberto Bermudez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Clemente Benvido. Filiberto Bermudez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Canalla Fuego's Carlos Aimar was substituted for Aristides Villanueva. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filiberto Bermudez made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Aimar got free with Isidro Christobal in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Filiberto Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Balesio came free, but Clemente Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Carlos Aimar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Carlos Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Isidro Christobal made a huge save. Ricky Kalischer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th match minute, DEPOTIVO SJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Balesio to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filiberto Bermudez in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Benvido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isidro Christobal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Aimar in the 81st minute. In the 82nd match minute, Canalla Fuego was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Iuonaș to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Benvido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Bermudez in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to DEPOTIVO SJ getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Matias Fiz hit a great ball.
