The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to FC Blueskatterna getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jens-Ola Haegg hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peyo Fonelleda in the 11th minute of play forced FC Blueskatterna's goalkeeper André Nordmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Consejo del Mate's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xove Høj in the 12th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's Peyo Fonelleda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Nordmark narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Björkman in the 20th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes FC Blueskatterna got a freekick which was hit by Erik Majman. FC Blueskatterna's André Nordmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyo Fonelleda in the 26th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Isaksson in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, FC Blueskatterna's goal looked a bit too open when Peyo Fonelleda came free, but André Nordmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Fagrell in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Blueskatterna's goalkeeper André Nordmark, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute of the match Consejo del Mate got a corner. FC Blueskatterna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Xove Høj ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Hernan Quinton managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Julio Kemen got a free kick in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julio Kemen during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Blueskatterna booed when Consejo del Mate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Kemen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Alex Isaksson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. Consejo del Mate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Isaksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Consejo del Mate players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Blueskatterna were winning 1-2.

Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Consejo del Mate from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Hernan Quinton hit a great ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrik Löv in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Björkman in the 58th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Isaksson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrik Löv got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Nordmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Gomesano in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kevin Fagrell in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Consejo del Mate from getting behind. FC Blueskatterna were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Consejo del Mate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrik Löv took the corner. The corner ended in Henrik Löv almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti did a great save. Consejo del Mate's Julio Kemen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Erik Majman in the 84 minute of the game. André Nordmark came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Consejo del Mate's Peyo Fonelleda. But to his dismay, Peyo Fonelleda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. André Nordmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peyo Fonelleda in the 89th minute of play. Erik Majman kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
