Roch Kochniarczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Nordmark having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Astral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Blunt to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, FC Blueskatterna's goal looked a bit too open when Roch Kochniarczyk came free, but André Nordmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Nordmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Blunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. André Nordmark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartlomiej Chazen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Astral's Dick Stephansson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dick Stephansson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Astral protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dick Stephansson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Astral! Fabian Hludzenski went to the wrong direction when Henrik Löv was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Fabian Hludzenski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Björkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Astral's Fabian Hludzenski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Fagrell in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Astral's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Löv came free, but Fabian Hludzenski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Nordmark was a little too slow when Roch Kochniarczyk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peter Björkman to make the kick off. Astral's Fabian Hludzenski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Björkman in the 53rd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Peter Björkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Hludzenski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Astral's Giuliano Galoppo got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Astral getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Fidel Blunt hit a great ball. FC Blueskatterna's André Nordmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartlomiej Chazen in the 65th minute of play. Fabian Hludzenski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrik Löv in the 67th minute. Fabian Hludzenski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Fagrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, FC Blueskatterna's Kevin Fagrell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabian Hludzenski. Fabian Hludzenski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. FC Blueskatterna made a substitution. Östen Wik replaced Joachim Bergman. In the 78th minute Pedro Gonzales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Nordmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute Astral were awarded a corner. Giuliano Galoppo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Bartlomiej Chazen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this André Nordmark quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, FC Blueskatterna's Erik Majman got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Astral's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Peter Björkman 87 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. The Astral supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Blueskatterna's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Blueskatterna.
