Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Fagrell in the 6th minute of play. The FC Blueskatterna fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when FC Blueskatterna's Peter Björkman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kevin Fagrell hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Kevin Fagrell succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. In the 16th minute, Henrik Löv got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to FC Blueskatterna getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Kjell Hurtig hit a great ball. The FC Blueskatterna fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when FC Blueskatterna's Alex Isaksson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 26th minute, Eusebio Mercurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Cucao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henrik Löv went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Björkman in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute Henrik Löv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Löv in the 36th minute of play. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Fagrell in the 39th minute of play. The corner ended in Kevin Fagrell almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao did a great save. In the 43rd minute, Peter Björkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mainumby's Nunez Gizon got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Peter Björkman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Guaberto Cucao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mainumby made a substitution. Dante Sidro replaced David Isusko. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ola Haegg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Peter Björkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, FC Blueskatterna's Peter Björkman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto Cucao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 56 played minutes Mainumby got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Intxixu. The audience was convinced that Peter Björkman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Cucao was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Guaberto Cucao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Björkman went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Guaberto Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Björkman in the 65th minute of the match. Henrik Löv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Cucao having to interfere. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Löv in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute Jens-Ola Haegg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, FC Blueskatterna's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Gonza came free, but André Nordmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Guaberto Cucao managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when FC Blueskatterna's Peter Björkman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Mainumby's Silvano Tiadoro got a free kick in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goalkeeper Guaberto Cucao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Löv. Guaberto Cucao came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Blueskatterna's Henrik Löv. But to his dismay, Henrik Löv quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. 92 minutes into the match, Nunez Gizon notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of FC Blueskatterna's André Nordmark. André Nordmark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FC Blueskatterna booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Tiadoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens-Ola Haegg hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the match was over FC Blueskatterna could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mainumby throughout the match.
