Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 4 minutes into the match, Tomé Araújo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Marin. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomé Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ovidiu Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save FC Cosula-BTF- from getting a goal against them. Tomé Araújo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Ovidiu Marin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Augusto Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scragbadun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Custódio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Marin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ovidiu Marin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomé Araújo. In the 30th minute of the match, Tomé Araújo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ovidiu Marin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tomé Araújo didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 4-0 via right post in the game's 34th minute. Scragbadun FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Anísio de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomé Araújo was the one to do the kick off. Ingvar Wallin might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidiu Marin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ingvar Wallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Marin having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomé Araújo in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidiu Marin saved FC Cosula-BTF- from getting behind. After 74 minutes, Tomé Araújo made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ovidiu Marin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Dagoberto Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scragbadun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dagoberto Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 88th minute, Tomé Araújo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidiu Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Reinaldo Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
