Vilhelm Larsson made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by GeRaÇãO-83's Ruperto Enol. Ovidiu Adrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ren Jie Fan in the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Poli Timisoara defense, Ren Jie Fan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidiu Adrian. The Poli Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidiu Adrian should have stopped the shot. Ovidiu Adrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Dieguinho Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Mauro Primeiro sent off a good shot on target. 2-2 became the score in the 20th minute when Bartosz Erland elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Ren Jie Fan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Ovidiu Adrian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ren Jie Fan in the 36th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Ren Jie Fan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Adrian. Poli Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ren Jie Fan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Dieguinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartosz Erland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ren Jie Fan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 3-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Primeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauro Primeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieguinho Paraíba having to interfere. GeRaÇãO-83 made a substitution. Carl Ancelotti replaced Didi Couto. In the 69th minute, Ren Jie Fan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GeRaÇãO-83 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. After 73 minutes of play, GeRaÇãO-83's Ren Jie Fan made it 3-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ovidiu Adrian was left in no man's land by his defense there! GeRaÇãO-83's supporters rose to their feet, but Ren Jie Fan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Adrian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GeRaÇãO-83 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
