With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartosz Erland in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tao Xi saved Flames FC from getting behind. In the 4th minute, Diego Lopes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flames FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Diego Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidiu Adrian having to make a save. In the 13th minute, Mauro Primeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Trudeau came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Camille Trudeau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Adrian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Erland in the 31st minute of play forced Flames FC's goalkeeper Tao Xi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Poli Timisoara's Tao Xi threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tiger De Hond, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tao Xi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Primeiro in the 36th minute. When Poli Timisoara's Bartosz Erland in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flames FC's goalie prevented a goal. 43 minutes into the game, Julien-Nils Trede threw the ball into play from the sideline. Flames FC's Camille Trudeau quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Mauro Primeiro made the kick off in the second half. Szczepan Rydz's late challenge caught a Poli Timisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Szczepan Rydz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szczepan Rydz to maneuver through the defense. When Horst-Peter Unterberger came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Poli Timisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horst-Peter Unterberger couldn't finish the play. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alican İçten in the 58th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Alican İçten came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Flames FC booed when Poli Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien-Nils Trede didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute Adib Ovi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tao Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camille Trudeau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alican İçten in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Alican İçten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidiu Adrian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ovidiu Adrian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camille Trudeau in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Flames FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Primeiro came free, but Tao Xi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alican İçten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidiu Adrian having to make a save. 84 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Alican İçten came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Alican İçten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flames FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poli Timisoara the free kick. In the 87th minute, Alican İçten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sascha Kulovitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. The Poli Timisoara manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Flames FC to win.
