An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Panait in the 24th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Krasimir Mishovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Okan Koc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krasimir Mishovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krasimir Mishovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Ming Sheng in the 27th minute of the match. Facundo Nazario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Crețu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Krasimir Mishovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Okan Koc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 0-2 became the score in the 41st minute when Tomasz Gacek elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Viteazul Flore got a free kick in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Ming Sheng got free with Krasimir Mishovski in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Aurel Panait hit a great ball. Facundo Nazario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Crețu having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Krasimir Mishovski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shi Ming Sheng.
