But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Lawrie couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, VN Ultra Spartak's Cristiano Lewandowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ron Boemans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If John Snow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albérico Bernardes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Snow in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of VN Ultra Spartak booed when TurboUC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dušan Tadić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd match minute, VN Ultra Spartak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Lewandowski to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Lewandowski struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ron Boemans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VN Ultra Spartak. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Snow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. VN Ultra Spartak's Albérico Bernardes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan González in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 played minutes TurboUC got a freekick which was hit by Dušan Tadić. 55 minutes into the match, TurboUC's goalkeeper Ron Boemans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Lewandowski. In the 56th minute VN Ultra Spartak were awarded a corner. Igor Szpakowski went to the cornerflag to take it. VN Ultra Spartak's Igor Szpakowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ron Boemans in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 59 minutes into the match, VN Ultra Spartak's goal looked a bit too open when Juan González came free, but Albérico Bernardes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albérico Bernardes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olo Planes in the 85th minute of the match.
