Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Meriti in the 8th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Geovanildo Luis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerrit Cronen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Gerrit Cronen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerrit Cronen came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis. But to his dismay, Geovanildo Luis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Gerrit Cronen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Marcel Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanildo Luis got free with Gerrit Cronen in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronaldinho Gaucho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gerrit Cronen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovanildo Luis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to S.C.PAULISTA getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Natã Queiroz hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Gerrit Cronen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrique Camargo. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas Meriti made a kick off. Geovanildo Luis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerrit Cronen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Geovanildo Luis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville City - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The audience was convinced that Geovanildo Luis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerrit Cronen was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Haji Sarap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Meriti, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 65 minutes of play, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerrit Cronen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joinville City - FSCMZ made a substitution. Cássio de Andrade replaced João Francisco Arce. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Horácio Abraão was substituted for Ronaldinho Gaucho. Adhemar Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerrit Cronen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adhemar Santos in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerrit Cronen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Douglas Meriti hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Gerrit Cronen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adhemar Santos in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerrit Cronen saved S.C.PAULISTA from getting behind. After a rather tough play, S.C.PAULISTA's Kauã Chaves got a free kick in the 77th minute. 7-0 became the score in the 88th minute when Adhemar Santos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Adhemar Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerrit Cronen was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Gerrit Cronen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio de Andrade came free, but Gerrit Cronen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
