In the 20th play minute Naldo Guerra came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amadeo Rufo. 2-0. After 36 minutes of play, Velho Barreiro FC's Zico Galo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeo Rufo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the game, Ferid Eker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Amadeo Rufo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amadeo Rufo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo Guerra in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Amadeo Rufo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Amadeo Rufo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Naldo Guerra went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Edin Džeko's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Iker Hidalgo firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Guerra in the 91st minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
