The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Velho Barreiro FC's zone, Manole Anghel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Hidalgo came out of the goal and Manole Anghel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stelian Butuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferid Eker, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Ciro Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Stelian Butuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baybars Geylanoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Dacians Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Zico Galo came free, but Stelian Butuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manole Anghel got free with Iker Hidalgo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute Naldo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Butuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naldo Guerra in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stelian Butuc saved Dacians Academy from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Tamulewicz came free, but Iker Hidalgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Velho Barreiro FC's Iker Hidalgo got control of the ball when Manole Anghel tried to sneak it across the goal line. A throw-in in the 25th minute of the game was made by Michel Siqueira with Ferid Eker as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 26th minute Ferid Eker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Butuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iker Hidalgo made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Manole Anghel sent off a good shot on target. Michel Siqueira made in the 47th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dacians Academy's Remus Armeanca.

Iwo Tamulewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iker Hidalgo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iwo Tamulewicz's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Iwo Tamulewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Hidalgo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michel Siqueira during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferid Eker got free with Stelian Butuc in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dacians Academy's Iwo Tamulewicz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Velho Barreiro FC made a substitution. Edmílson Cosme replaced Zico Galo. Ciro Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Stelian Butuc made a huge save. A collision led to Velho Barreiro FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Lovis Wefers hit a great ball. Dacians Academy made a substitution. Nichifor Oprescu replaced Sercan Özerkin. The supporters of Dacians Academy booed when Velho Barreiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lovis Wefers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iker Hidalgo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iwo Tamulewicz's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Iker Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Tamulewicz in the 79th minute of the match. Iker Hidalgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Armeanca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Dacians Academy's Iwo Tamulewicz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Iwo Tamulewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Hidalgo. Velho Barreiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iwo Tamulewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Velho Barreiro FC's Iker Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Tamulewicz in the 88th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Velho Barreiro FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dacians Academy.
