With a little luck, Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen got control of the ball when Pieterjan Anteunis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Haymakers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Portugal came free, but Robin Olsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin Olsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karel Cromefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 minutes, Kurt Ahlbeck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haymakers FC and the Fauna Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kurt Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute of the match, Teodoro Esquipula tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robin Olsen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the last second Robin Olsen throw himself and got hold of the ball when Karel Cromefeldt in the 18thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pieterjan Anteunis got free with Robin Olsen in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Karel Cromefeldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robin Olsen was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 26th match minute, Haymakers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Nyman to maneuver through the defense. Robin Olsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karel Cromefeldt in the 37th minute of the match. Robin Olsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Karel Cromefeldt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. Sven-Olof Blomkvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Radamel Hendrickx. Fauna Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yuri Portugal was the one to do the kick off. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karel Cromefeldt in the 73rd minute of play forced Haymakers FC's goalkeeper Robin Olsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Haymakers FC defense, Yuri Portugal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robin Olsen. The Haymakers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robin Olsen should have stopped the shot. Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Portugal in the 79th minute of play. Fauna Utd had played much better football throughout.
