Gottfrid Haström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Fernandez in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinei Fernandez in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gottfrid Haström saved Pihl United from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Dinei Fernandez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gottfrid Haström was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Gottfrid Haström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinei Fernandez's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Merceron United's Dinei Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gottfrid Haström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dinei Fernandez took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gottfrid Haström. Gottfrid Haström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Shea Caballero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniele Bucciarelli. That made the score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. A collision led to Merceron United getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Alessio Bottaro hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Hubert Berggren took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Daniele Bucciarelli to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Fernandez in the 33rd minute of play forced Pihl United's goalkeeper Gottfrid Haström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Fernandez scored 2-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gottfrid Haström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinei Fernandez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gottfrid Haström made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Dinei Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei Fernandez got free with Gottfrid Haström in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Merceron United fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Merceron United's Dinei Fernandez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Daniele Bucciarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shea Caballero in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Gamza in the 63rd minute of play forced Pihl United's goalkeeper Gottfrid Haström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merceron United were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Pihl United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Milosz Waselenczuk took the corner. Edoardo Pascucci was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Pihl United made a substitution. Babhruvahana Baad replaced Hubert Berggren. With a little luck, Pihl United's Gottfrid Haström got control of the ball when Dinei Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, Merceron United's Dinei Fernandez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gottfrid Haström. Gottfrid Haström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilbert Alfors in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniele Bucciarelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babhruvahana Baad in the 91st minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Daniele Bucciarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Merceron United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
