Pihl United's players were relieved. 13 minutes into the game, Alex Göransson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pihl United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merceron United the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Pihl United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Göransson to maneuver through the defense. Edoardo Pascucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Gottfrid Haström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edoardo Pascucci in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gottfrid Haström saved Pihl United from getting behind. With his leg Gottfrid Haström managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Merceron United's Edoardo Pascucci fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gottfrid Haström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Pascucci in the 35th minute of play. If Edoardo Pascucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Jan Gamza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merceron United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Gamza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Sundberg scored 0-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anselmo Facchetti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Tommy Sundberg made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Merceron United's Anselmo Facchetti got control of the ball when Shea Caballero tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Sundberg in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Facchetti saved Merceron United from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Pihl United's Martin Hedlund got a free kick in the 60th minute. Gottfrid Haström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Gamza in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goalkeeper Anselmo Facchetti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tommy Sundberg. 68 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Sundberg came free, but Anselmo Facchetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Edoardo Pascucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merceron United's supporters rose to their feet, but Edoardo Pascucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gottfrid Haström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Sundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pihl United's Babhruvahana Baad was substituted for Hubert Berggren. Gottfrid Haström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Pascucci in the 74th minute of the match. Pihl United's Gottfrid Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Pascucci in the 78th minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game Edoardo Pascucci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pihl United's Gottfrid Haström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Merceron United's Anselmo Facchetti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Merceron United from getting a goal against them. If Shea Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pihl United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
