Gottfrid Haström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anselmo Fantini went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommy Sundberg in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Eduardo Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tommy Sundberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Luiz Eduardo Galvão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tommy Sundberg in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luiz Eduardo Galvão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 22 minutes Aesir FC FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luc Fontaine who took care of the corner kick. After 23 minutes, Chico Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pihl United and the Aesir FC FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pihl United's Chico Dias got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Albano Ban left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aesir FC FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 29 minutes Aesir FC FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luc Fontaine who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Sundberg in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Galvão saved Aesir FC FSCMZ from getting behind. Tommy Sundberg had several of the Aesir FC FSCMZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Luiz Eduardo Galvão as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tommy Sundberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão made a huge save. Albano Ban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 48 minutes into the match, Anselmo Fantini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gottfrid Haström. Pihl United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Fantini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albano Ban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Dalmo de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gottfrid Haström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Aesir FC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Sundberg came free, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Aesir FC FSCMZ booed when Pihl United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Alfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gottfrid Haström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Ban in the 61st minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Pihl United's Tommy Sundberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Eduardo Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Tommy Sundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Sundberg in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Galvão saved Aesir FC FSCMZ from getting behind. In the 83rd match minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Fantini to maneuver through the defense. Pihl United's Gottfrid Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Ban in the 86th minute of play. After 87 minutes Pihl United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Doriva Bueno who took care of the corner kick. After 87 played minutes Aesir FC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Ramalho. Luiz Eduardo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shea Caballero, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. In the 99th minute of the match Pihl United got a corner. Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luc Fontaine ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pihl United's Luc Fontaine was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Aesir FC FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aesir FC FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
