In the 11th match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Lode to maneuver through the defense. Brufoss IL's Leif Opdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Palban in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes Brufoss IL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bernardino Orlin who took care of the corner kick. Roberto Eusko was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The referee ignored Brufoss IL's protests and gave Frode Tobiassen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Frode Tobiassen got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Jonatan Palban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Frode Tobiassen put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Justo Ruy. Leif Opdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Sadurni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Jonatan Palban made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonatan Palban in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leif Opdal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonatan Palban who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Leif Opdal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Brufoss IL's Leif Opdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Brufoss IL from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute, Jonatan Palban reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leif Opdal. The goal made the score 1-3. Brufoss IL's Asbjørn Sigurdsen was substituted for Anders Elstad. Jonatan Palban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Opdal having to interfere. Brufoss IL's Leif Opdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Sadurni in the 90th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Fabio Sadurni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leif Opdal. Brufoss IL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Sadurni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. In the 93rd minute Fabio Sadurni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Opdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justo Ruy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from August Bergsland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded NUMBA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Brufoss IL.
