The MONTANHA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens Mikaelsson should have stopped the shot. In the 9thth minute of the game Alexandros Matsinopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MONTANHA's Jens Mikaelsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandros Matsinopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Alexandros Matsinopoulos notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of MONTANHA's Jens Mikaelsson. Jens Mikaelsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, Alexandros Matsinopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Fenerbahce Wien's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MONTANHA the free kick. In the 29th minute, Alexandros Matsinopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MONTANHA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Víctor Cuesta in the 31st minute. Chris Draxl made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Wei Guang Xing sent off a good shot on target. Alexandros Matsinopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens Mikaelsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandros Matsinopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. Jens Mikaelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandros Matsinopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Draxl made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Radomir Narbut sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the game, Murillo Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MONTANHA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Fenerbahce Wien the free kick. The supporters of SK Fenerbahce Wien booed when MONTANHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radomir Narbut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Chris Draxl made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandros Matsinopoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Martins. Chris Draxl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Guang Xing in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Alexandros Matsinopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Fenerbahce Wien's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandros Matsinopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens Mikaelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Roland-Nicolas Hertz was substituted for Phillip Hörholdt. After a rather tough play, MONTANHA's Radomir Narbut got a free kick in the 65th minute. When MONTANHA's Wei Guang Xing in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Wei Guang Xing put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Chris Draxl. A sloppy throw-in by Teodoro Peres in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SK Fenerbahce Wien's Roland-Nicolas Hertz. Wei Guang Xing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Chris Draxl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Radomir Narbut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Draxl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eike Hörtnagel took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens Mikaelsson. Jens Mikaelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4.
