Tiburones Rojos were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after SeleSantos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frutos Macedo took the corner. Tiburones Rojos's Natalio Quico was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dinei Pinheiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dinei Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Feliciano Sesuldo sent off a good shot on target.
