Remigiusz Paciuszko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Kutlay Umay came free, but Remigiusz Paciuszko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kutlay Umay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigiusz Paciuszko was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Remigiusz Paciuszko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kutlay Umay, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Remigiusz Paciuszko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kemal Davarcı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kutlay Umay in the 16th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Remigiusz Paciuszko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Kutlay Umay made a precise shot to the right of Remigiusz Paciuszko. Mestre GG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 20th minute, Kemal Davarcı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigiusz Paciuszko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 38 played minutes Nevşehirspor got a freekick which was hit by Kemal Davarcı. Nevşehirspor's Gianluca Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benson Beverley in the 44th minute of play. Álvaro Paraíba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gianluca Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boguslaw Makarewicz made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Nevşehirspor's Kutlay Umay got a free kick in the 50th minute. Bilgehan Bakkalbaşıoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigiusz Paciuszko having to interfere. Nevşehirspor made a substitution. Bror Kent replaced Uğur Araz. In the 56th minute, Ronaldo Messi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Schubert Beckenbauer suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Boguslaw Makarewicz's late challenge caught a Nevşehirspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boguslaw Makarewicz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mestre GG getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Boguslaw Makarewicz hit a great ball. Gianluca Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Garcia in the 61st minute of play. Boguslaw Makarewicz took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gianluca Buffon. Gianluca Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 66th minute, Kemal Davarcı got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gianluca Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benson Beverley in the 68th minute of play. Gery Hamzah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigiusz Paciuszko having to interfere. Gery Hamzah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Remigiusz Paciuszko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Nevşehirspor getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Lv Nan Ke hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Jorginho Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mestre GG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 93 minutes into the game, Ximenes Murieta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Nevşehirspor's Seçkin Ünlüol quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Nevşehirspor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nevşehirspor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
