Cornelio Villegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kutlay Umay in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute Kemal Davarcı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Villegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 minutes of play, Nevşehirspor's Bilgehan Bakkalbaşıoğlu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Villegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match, Cavaliers FC's Sebastián Villa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gianluca Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cavaliers FC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Nevşehirspor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teofilo Mikeldi took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Nevşehirspor's goalie and right to Rodrigo Etor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Nevşehirspor's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 31st minute Sebastián Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluca Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Seçkin Ünlüol notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cavaliers FC's Cornelio Villegas. Cornelio Villegas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cavaliers FC's Adolfo Umea managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hami Tuğaltay in the 38 minute of the game. Sebastián Villa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 40th playminute. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nevşehirspor's goalkeeper Gianluca Buffon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastián Villa to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Villa in the 54th minute of play forced Nevşehirspor's goalkeeper Gianluca Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Sandalio charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremias Sandalio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeremias Sandalio hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Nevşehirspor made a substitution. Wojciech Malicki replaced Ronaldo Messi. Nevşehirspor's Gery Hamzah was substituted for Kutlay Umay. Cavaliers FC's Jeremias Sandalio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hami Tuğaltay, made in the 83rd minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, Nevşehirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Rami came free, but Gianluca Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Marcos Arano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gianluca Buffon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.
