The referee ignored SK Gullegem's protests and gave Benedicto Atarratze a yellow card for diving instead. Benedicto Atarratze hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Romo made a kick off. Franco Moscatelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias-Alexander Jamieson in the 50th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Leo Romo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urmas Känsäkangas was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Leo Romo might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urmas Känsäkangas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Romo ran back to his position shaking his head. The La Scaloneta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
