The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans-Martin Istad was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Atlético Patoruzu booed when Masters United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Patoruzu's Gualterio Aguirre got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Valentim Leão came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Atlético Patoruzu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentim Leão couldn't finish the play. Masters United F.C.'s Herminio Frantzes was substituted for Celso Hotz. Hans-Martin Istad took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aldo Hawk. Aldo Hawk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Masters United F.C.'s Aurelio Cuarto got a free kick in the 61st minute. Masters United F.C.'s Enrique Bologna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Aguirre in the 63rd minute of play. Herminio Frantzes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Aldo Hawk made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Herminio Frantzes took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Aldo Hawk to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Masters United F.C.'s zone, Valentim Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Bologna came out of the goal and Valentim Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florencio Rafe came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aldo Hawk could save by the left post. After having played for 90 minutes, Rene Harman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Patoruzu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Harman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans-Martin Istad got free with Aldo Hawk in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Masters United F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Masters United F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
