Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Basarab Irod took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gigel Tilea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo Dogel. Gigel Tilea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bo Dogel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Crişan Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Ciclista FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Coșeriu came free, but Crişan Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Petriceanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Marin Giubelean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crişan Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Ciclista FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Cidro to maneuver through the defense. Lucian Petriceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Petriceanu to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Hug came free, but Gigel Tilea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Irod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Crişan Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Irod in the 40th minute of the match. Crişan Taffarel came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Rio's Basarab Irod. But to his dismay, Basarab Irod quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

Academia Rio's Dorel Nedelciu was substituted for Basarab Irod. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cenan Savlet was the one to do the kick off. After 61 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Oniga. Crişan Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Nedelciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Cenan Savlet came free, but Gigel Tilea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bo Dogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Ciclista FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Vincent. The long shot by Lucian Petriceanu in the 72nd minute really tested Crişan Taffarel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Crişan Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorel Nedelciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The corner ended in Lucian Petriceanu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ciclista FC's Crişan Taffarel did a great save. In the 76th minute, Manuel Hug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciclista FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 79 minutes into the match, Dorel Nedelciu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Crişan Taffarel. Ciclista FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorel Nedelciu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Mihai Oniga kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th minute of the match Academia Rio got a corner. Ciclista FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucian Petriceanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Academia Rio's corner Lucian Petriceanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Crişan Taffarel quite easily take care of the ball. Gigel Tilea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Dogel in the 90th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ciclista FC's Crişan Taffarel got control of the ball when Dorel Nedelciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ciclista FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Academia Rio had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
