Chris Falcon helped the player get up and apologised. Chris Falcon kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 4th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Ewan Davin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierre Dole in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gigel Tilea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 19th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Falcon to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 27 minutes, Pierre Dole managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Scaloneta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre Dole was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 40th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Ewan Davin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierre Dole charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre Dole the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Dole didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Irod came free, but Ewan Davin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Madjid Pauly to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Basarab Irod left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Rio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 56 minutes into the match, Sergiu Coșeriu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ewan Davin. La Scaloneta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergiu Coșeriu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 63rd minute Marin Giubelean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ewan Davin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Marin Giubelean. John Costes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Tilea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Amaury Duteil got a free kick in the 74th minute. Lucian Petriceanu, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ewan Davin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Irod, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Ewan Davin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Giubelean in the 78th minute of the match. With a little luck, La Scaloneta's Ewan Davin got control of the ball when Sergiu Coșeriu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amaury Duteil hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Dole in the 84th minute of play. Gigel Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Dole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Sergiu Coșeriu took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ewan Davin to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Irod in the 89th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Ewan Davin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes in the game, Marin Giubelean dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. John Costes hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the match was over Academia Rio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Scaloneta throughout the match.
