In the 12th minute, Dagoberto Moraes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselmo Gama was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Şükrü Yazargil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Cristiano Messias made a huge save. MACAU. F.C's Anselmo Gama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Milko in the 17th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Igor Milko made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Gama was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 41 played minutes MACAU. F.C got a freekick which was hit by Şükrü Yazargil. When Xiao Fenge fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MACAU. F.C's protests and gave Xiao Fenge a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Xiao Fenge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Assunção to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ defense, Şükrü Yazargil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Messias. The Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Messias should have stopped the shot. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Nico Alvarenga was substituted for Brandon Norton. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Cristiano Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Cugat in the 91st minute of play. The MACAU. F.C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ.
