Parque Europa FC's Luis Täger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Ritchie in the 15th minute of play. Omar Lauren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Reyes in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Reyes got free with Omar Lauren in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26thth minute of the game Froilan Reyes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Balvanera's Omar Lauren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Reyes came free, but Omar Lauren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Täger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Portalupi in the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Balvanera's zone, Samuel Ryynänen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Lauren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Balvanera's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Ryynänen was slow to take the kick. During this time Parque Europa FC's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Parque Europa FC's Mero Griful got a free kick in the 59th minute.
