The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Guga Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Faron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Faron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Resul Erdemalp in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Simão in the 8th minute of play forced Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalkeeper Hilario Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Lucas Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. América-SC F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Faron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Guga Simão put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hilario Faron. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Simão in the 19th minute of play forced Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalkeeper Hilario Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Hilario Faron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Resul Erdemalp in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes América-SC F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Branco. In the 28th minute Guga Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Faron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, América-SC F.C.'s Walmyr de Alcântara got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Lucas Abella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but América-SC F.C.'s Arkadiusz Smolarek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Guga Simão made a precise shot to the right of Hilario Faron. Club Dep. Union Madereros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 33 played minutes Club Dep. Union Madereros got a freekick which was hit by David Lynch. The audience was convinced that Resul Erdemalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilario Faron was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Union Madereros's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Simão came free, but Hilario Faron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenzo Bakar's late challenge caught a América-SC F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Bakar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute Lucas Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Faron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Union Madereros's goal looked a bit too open when Resul Erdemalp came free, but Hilario Faron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Club Dep. Union Madereros made a substitution. Rene Vito replaced Lucas Abella. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rene Vito to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Club Dep. Union Madereros's Hilario Faron got control of the ball when Guga Simão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Hilario Faron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Pimenta in the 55th minute of play. Guga Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Hilario Faron made a huge save. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Dep. Union Madereros's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Téo Cordeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time América-SC F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Guga Simão heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Resul Erdemalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Hilario Faron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Arce in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Union Madereros's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Arce came free, but Hilario Faron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Rene Vito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiusz Smolarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to América-SC F.C. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jerônimo Pimenta hit a great ball. América-SC F.C. made a substitution. Gabi Gol replaced Resul Erdemalp. Jerônimo Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Hilario Faron made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Edson Faria sent off a good shot on target. Hilario Faron came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by América-SC F.C.'s Gabi Gol. But to his dismay, Gabi Gol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Vito in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arkadiusz Smolarek saved América-SC F.C. from getting behind. After some careless play in the Club Dep. Union Madereros defense, Edson Faria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Faron. The Club Dep. Union Madereros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Faron should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Club Dep. Union Madereros getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cornelio Colas hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edson Faria got free with Hilario Faron in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute Gabi Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Faron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the game, América-SC F.C.'s Lucas Arce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Faron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. When the match was over América-SC F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Dep. Union Madereros throughout the match.
