Los Tatangelos's Vacib Bartu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matouš Carda in the 14th minute of play. Münir Akyazıcı hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Matouš Carda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vacib Bartu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vacib Bartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Ortiz in the 21st minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aycan Fırıncıoğlu to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Aycan Fırıncıoğlu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of AFC - Curitiba's Fausto da Rocha. Fausto da Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Romário Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Lucjan Setara sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Los Tatangelos's Vacib Bartu didn't even have to move. Vacib Bartu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhang Yin Si in the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Los Tatangelos's Ahmet Koralp Özsu got a free kick in the 94th minute. The long shot by Silvio Asier in the 94th minute really tested Vacib Bartu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 96 minutes into the game, Los Tatangelos's Paulo Flores nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto da Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. There was no doubt that Los Tatangelos were the better team. Los Tatangelos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
