The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vladan Kovačević showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Morientes in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, BELAJ BOYS's goalkeeper Esbjörn Apelquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Czeszejko. Esbjörn Apelquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Olimpia HSB booed when BELAJ BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Borgelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 18th minute of play. Esbjörn Apelquist came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko. But to his dismay, Fabian Czeszejko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Halman during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 28 minutes, Fabian Czeszejko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpia HSB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Czeszejko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Czeszejko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esbjörn Apelquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Fabian Czeszejko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist. BELAJ BOYS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabian Czeszejko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 40thth minute of the game Fabian Czeszejko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BELAJ BOYS's Esbjörn Apelquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute, Fabian Czeszejko made a precise shot to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist. BELAJ BOYS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zaaki Zakas made the kick off in the second half. Celso Bastos hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Esbjörn Apelquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Fabian Czeszejko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Czeszejko in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esbjörn Apelquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esbjörn Apelquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. BELAJ BOYS made a substitution. Czeslaw Drugi replaced Joseph Melin. In the 63rd minute Olimpia HSB were awarded a corner. Fernando Morientes went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Fabian Czeszejko advanced and headed the ball into goal, 4-0 in the 63rd minute. A collision led to BELAJ BOYS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Torsten Berg hit a great ball. BELAJ BOYS's Esbjörn Apelquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacek Pietrowiak in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by BELAJ BOYS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fernando Morientes was slow to take the kick. During this time Olimpia HSB's players had a chance to rest. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esbjörn Apelquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Pietrowiak in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Torsten Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Jacek Pietrowiak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpia HSB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Olimpia HSB's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
