The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Diego Ihazintu put in a rough tackle. In the 7th minute, one of MoVenTorZ FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MoVenTorZ FC. After a defensive mix-up in MoVenTorZ FC's zone, Marcelo Gallardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Spinosa came out of the goal and Marcelo Gallardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edoardo Schiavo made in the 12th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felice Crisantemo. Fausto Spinosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Gallardo's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. MoVenTorZ FC's Fausto Spinosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Gallardo in the 17th minute of play. If Marcelo Gallardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fausto Spinosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Gallardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Marcelo Gallardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Spinosa. MoVenTorZ FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Gallardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Gallardo in the 27th minute of play forced MoVenTorZ FC's goalkeeper Fausto Spinosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Gallardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fausto Spinosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Gallardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Franco Armani successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After taking down the ball on MoVenTorZ FC's corner Ciro Anastasi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Franco Armani quite easily take care of the ball. Marcelo Gallardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciro Anastasi hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Marcelo Gallardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto Spinosa having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Adrogue FC's goalkeeper Franco Armani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arrigo Aureli. After the first half Adrogue FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Gallardo made a kick off. Fausto Spinosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Pablo Angel in the 53rd minute. If Marcelo Gallardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fausto Spinosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Gallardo in the 54th minute of play. Edoardo Schiavo got a throw-in 56 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Daniele Pizzi. With a little luck, MoVenTorZ FC's Fausto Spinosa got control of the ball when Javi Pinola tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Coco in the 70th minute of play forced Adrogue FC's goalkeeper Franco Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Javi Pinola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MoVenTorZ FC's Fausto Spinosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Gallardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Fausto Spinosa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, MoVenTorZ FC's Bruno Angelucci got a free kick in the 78th minute. Marcelo Gallardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Spinosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Gallardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Gallardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Fausto Spinosa made a huge save. Fausto Spinosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Gallardo in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, one of MoVenTorZ FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the final whistle sounded Adrogue FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MoVenTorZ FC.
