Marcelo Gallardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Hermann Hesse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Gallardo in the 26th minute of play. Rius Mascaran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franco Armani having to make a save. When Rius Mascaran came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rius Mascaran couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Rius Mascaran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Gallardo in the 47th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Hermann Hesse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Nestor Chucho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Gallardo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Gaizkine Ibern notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Adrogue FC's Franco Armani. Franco Armani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 58th match minute, Adrogue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Pablo Angel to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Erruki Velarroa replaced Gaizkine Ibern. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Olly Morgan was substituted for Rius Mascaran. Juan Pablo Angel hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Torbjørn Trondsen came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torbjørn Trondsen couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjørn Trondsen in the 65th minute of play forced Adrogue FC's goalkeeper Franco Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Marcelo Gallardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Adrogue FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Franco Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjørn Trondsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Adrogue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olly Morgan came free, but Franco Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Gallardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Gallardo came free, but Hermann Hesse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrogue FC's Ramiro Funes Mori quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Damian Regulez, made in the 80th minute of the game. In the 84th minute Olly Morgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olly Morgan struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Franco Armani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Popolizio FBC. Adrogue FC's Franco Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjørn Trondsen in the 90th minute of play. Franco Armani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torbjørn Trondsen's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After 96 played minutes Adrogue FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Abalos. 97 minutes into the match, Torbjørn Trondsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franco Armani. Adrogue FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torbjørn Trondsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Deportivo Popolizio FBC had won after a very even match.
