Borys Lanczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilla Açıkalın, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Hludzenski in the 12th minute of play forced Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's goalkeeper Batıkan Muhsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batıkan Muhsin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waclaw Hludzenski went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Borys Lanczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 47th minute, Atilla Açıkalın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atilla Açıkalın made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sawino SA's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Bokelund came free, but Borys Lanczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC booed when Sawino SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balázs Bors didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oğuzalp Yetiş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Batıkan Muhsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heintje Alemasov in the 59th minute of play. Batıkan Muhsin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waclaw Hludzenski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atilla Açıkalın blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Borys Lanczak having to make a save. After some careless play in the Sawino SA defense, Kasper Häll kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Borys Lanczak. The Sawino SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Borys Lanczak should have stopped the shot. Sawino SA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC had won, even though Sawino SA had held more of the ball.
