Tony Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duda Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Chico de Sousa came free, but Tony Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to C. A. Chico de Sousa came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tony Guimarães could save by the left post. In the 55th minute Hipolito Frasquito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C. A. Atlanta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teodoro Primo in the 56th minute. C. A. Atlanta's Sixto Manilan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dalmo Saldanha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jovens Democratas MZC's Chico de Sousa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 60th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. C. A. Atlanta's Besart Toto was substituted for Apolo Artizar. 64 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruy de Brito. In the 65th minute Jovens Democratas MZC were awarded a corner. Leonardo Guerra went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Leonardo Guerra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tony Guimarães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 66 minutes, Eliseo Sasoin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Atlanta and the Jovens Democratas MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Sasoin. When Eliseo Sasoin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. A collision led to C. A. Atlanta getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Eliseo Sasoin hit a great ball. Leonardo Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Guimarães having to make a save. In the 75th minute, Sixto Manilan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Manilan. In the 78th minute Xu Li Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães got control of the ball when Durval de Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. A. Atlanta's Hipolito Frasquito got a free kick in the 89th minute. 94 minutes into the game, Jovens Democratas MZC's Xu Li Sang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Jovens Democratas MZC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
