The audience thought a goal was coming when Sami Zübeyr got free with Dalmo Saldanha in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute of the match FC Maci -MM- got a corner. Jovens Democratas MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vlad Mavrogheni ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Vlad Mavrogheni got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dalmo Saldanha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sami Zübeyr in the 10th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Dalmo Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmo Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sami Zübeyr's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Sabin Miclauș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Maci -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jovens Democratas MZC the free kick. Sabin Miclauș kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Jovens Democratas MZC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Sami Zübeyr scored to the left of an out of position Dalmo Saldanha, making the score, 1-0. Nae Tomoioagă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerome Rohrer in the 18th minute of play. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sami Zübeyr in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes in the game, Sami Zübeyr dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Guerra in the 21st minute of play forced FC Maci -MM-'s goalkeeper Nae Tomoioagă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmo Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sami Zübeyr in the 24th minute. When Sami Zübeyr came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the FC Maci -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sami Zübeyr couldn't finish the play. Sami Zübeyr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Saldanha having to interfere. Dalmo Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Sami Zübeyr sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Dalmo Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sami Zübeyr. In the 42nd minute Jerome Rohrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Tomoioagă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerome Rohrer in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nae Tomoioagă saved FC Maci -MM- from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Maci -MM-'s Răzvan Stanomir got a free kick in the 46th minute. Nae Tomoioagă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerome Rohrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

FC Maci -MM-'s Nae Tomoioagă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Paes in the 51st minute of play. A hard shot 53 in the game by Jerome Rohrer from a close distance when the talented Nae Tomoioagă managed to make a qualified save. FC Maci -MM-'s players were relieved. Dalmo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sami Zübeyr, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Marcus Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Laerte Bittencourt replaced Valdir Miranda. 66 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Sami Zübeyr came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
