Jeronimo Gines made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Svend Betz sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the game, Cruz Credo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maravilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FSX UNITED the free kick. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Cruz Credo hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Cochrane came free, but Jeronimo Gines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Cochrane in the 16th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Jeronimo Gines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeronimo Gines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svend Betz in the 19th minute. Despite this Ye Wei quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aldo Benvenuto made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Maravilla's Paulus Van Poucke. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeronimo Gines firmly grabbed it by the left post. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maravilla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Aldo Benvenuto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Jeronimo Gines successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Svend Betz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Jeronimo Gines made a huge save. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maravilla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Evelio Matetich was slow to take the kick. During this time FSX UNITED's players had a chance to rest. A hard shot 41 in the game by Svend Betz from a close distance when the talented Jeronimo Gines managed to make a qualified save. Maravilla's players were relieved. 43 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Svend Betz came free, but Jeronimo Gines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nemanja Vidić's late challenge caught a FSX UNITED's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemanja Vidić helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FSX UNITED booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemanja Vidić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeronimo Gines came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FSX UNITED's Svend Betz. But to his dismay, Svend Betz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cruz Credo made the kick off in the second half. Maravilla's Jeronimo Gines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Cochrane in the 54th minute of play. Jeronimo Gines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svend Betz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. FSX UNITED made a substitution. Amancio Baesler replaced Svend Betz. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. César de Senna hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cruz Credo in the 65th minute of play forced FSX UNITED's goalkeeper Ye Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Baesler came free, but Jeronimo Gines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Amancio Baesler made a precise shot to the right of Jeronimo Gines. Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Jeronimo Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Salas in the 77th minute of play. Ye Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cruz Credo in the 80th minute of play. Marcelo Salas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jeronimo Gines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeronimo Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Baesler in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Mircea Popilean managed to get in a good position for a shot. FSX UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Mircea Popilean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeronimo Gines breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeronimo Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Salas in the 96th minute of play.
