Gino Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 10 minutes of play, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Moisés Novaes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Moisés Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Jordão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paulinho Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moisés Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 18th minute of play. Zigmantas Gimbutas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 18th playminute. Zigmantas Gimbutas struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Moisés Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Braga. Quintino Carvalhais who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Moisés Novaes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Zigmantas Gimbutas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Moisés Novaes, 3-0. 32 minutes into the game, Kārlis Straubegs threw the ball into play from the sideline. SC Braga's Alberto Malheiro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. JFSP's Moisés Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save JFSP from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SC Braga booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinson Gentenaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Jordão got free with Moisés Novaes in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Zigmantas Gimbutas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moisés Novaes. JFSP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zigmantas Gimbutas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Horácio Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Souto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horácio Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When Zigmantas Gimbutas came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the SC Braga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zigmantas Gimbutas couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Moisés Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintino Carvalhais, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edinson Gentenaar during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. SC Braga's Valdomiro Lira was substituted for Gastão Veiga. JFSP's Flaco López was substituted for Edinson Gentenaar. After 64 played minutes JFSP got a freekick which was hit by Edinson Gentenaar. In the 65th minute Stig-Åke Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Quintino Carvalhais managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Braga's supporters rose to their feet, but Quintino Carvalhais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quintino Carvalhais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SC Braga's Quintino Carvalhais got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Stig-Åke Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 76th minute of play forced JFSP's goalkeeper Moisés Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Mattsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moisés Novaes was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Juanfran Gentenaar got a free kick in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, André Jordão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moisés Novaes. JFSP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quintino Carvalhais was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Moisés Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Jordão in the 93rd minute of play. In the 93rd minute Stig-Åke Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match SC Braga got a corner. JFSP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Quintino Carvalhais ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to SC Braga's Lu Xun Lei getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. SC Braga's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
