The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaias Sazon got free with Daniel Kieca in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gregorio Montez was slow to take the kick. During this time Russówek's players had a chance to rest. Russówek's Daniel Kieca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuan Hong Chen in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Russówek made a substitution. Salvador Quezada replaced Gustaw Tomporowski. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryszard Skonieczny made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Gregorio Montez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Silvio Millan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Russówek would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
