Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Paşa in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurilio Duque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Arturo Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Nova Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Beltrame came free, but Maurilio Duque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Paşa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The throw-in from Czeslaw Dejo in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Leonel Libertad. In the 29th minute Ahmet Paşa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurilio Duque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Ahmet Paşa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurilio Duque made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Nova Soccer's Maurilio Duque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Paşa in the 38th minute of play. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donat Collier in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Arturo Lopez made a precise shot to the right of Maurilio Duque. Nova Soccer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When Fabricio Inocente fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's protests and gave Fabricio Inocente a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 minutes, Czeslaw Dejo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Soccer and the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maurilio Duque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Paşa, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Lopez to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Ahmet Paşa took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Maurilio Duque to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ahmet Paşa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Paşa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurilio Duque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene made a substitution. Ezequiel Lluques replaced Brahim Boutabout. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Fabricio Inocente managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Czeslaw Dejo in the 74 minute of the game. Ahmet Paşa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Deportivo Pomelo Nenene booed when Nova Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenaido Aramoyana didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Leonel Libertad from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Maurilio Duque's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Nova Soccer's Maurilio Duque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Soccer from getting a goal against them. Maurilio Duque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Beltrame in the 90th minute of the match. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Ahmet Paşa got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
