A collision led to Preator Edikt getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Albert Örnberg hit a great ball. Jan Pihlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Balla in the 8th minute of play. Michael Stor took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pavlos Konstantakakis. Pavlos Konstantakakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gianluca Balla scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Pihlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Torbjörn Nilsson put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pavlos Konstantakakis. The supporters of Hamburg Fighters booed when Preator Edikt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Stor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th match minute, Preator Edikt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Gustavo Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the game, Dinu Bocu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hamburg Fighters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Preator Edikt the free kick. Dinu Bocu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Preator Edikt's Jan Pihlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Bocu in the 44th minute of play. Jan Pihlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Balla in the 47th minute of play. Hamburg Fighters were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Preator Edikt's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gianluca Balla took the corner. Gianluca Balla made a great header on Hamburg Fighters's corner, it was just that Preator Edikt's Jan Pihlberg managed to reach the ball for a save. The attack was good, but when Gianni Balla in the 48th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Per Schmettau got a free kick in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Dinu Bocu could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Jan Pihlberg however easily saved by the left post. Pavlos Konstantakakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Stor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Preator Edikt made a substitution. Stig-Ove Blomqvist replaced Michael Stor. Thanks to some nice moves Dinu Bocu could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Jan Pihlberg however easily saved by the left post. Dinu Bocu made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 82ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jan Pihlberg would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Blomqvist in the 85th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Preator Edikt's goalkeeper Jan Pihlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinu Bocu. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Preator Edikt had won after a very even match.
