The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elliot Högman scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alisson Becker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Einar Jernberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franky Ooms, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 10 played minutes Hisingen IK got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Gabrielsson. Viktor Nyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alisson Becker having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Alisson Becker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viktor Nyman. After 23 minutes, Ludwig Smedfeldt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hisingen IK and the Buffalo Timişoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute Ludwig Smedfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Alisson Becker throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ludwig Smedfeldt in the 25thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 28 minutes into the match, Hisingen IK's goal looked a bit too open when Franky Ooms came free, but Einar Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alisson Becker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vilhelm Bokelund hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Rahman Attar, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Bengt-Arne Wester fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hisingen IK's protests and gave Bengt-Arne Wester a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Hisingen IK defense, Augusto Benitez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Einar Jernberg. The Hisingen IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Einar Jernberg should have stopped the shot. The Hisingen IK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Buffalo Timişoara were winning 1-2.

Dan Zdrobău kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Buffalo Timişoara's Adrian Zbora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Einar Jernberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. A collision led to Hisingen IK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Bernt Vennerkvist hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Vennerkvist came free, but Alisson Becker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Rahman Attar. Buffalo Timişoara's Valentin Voicu was substituted for Franky Ooms. 71 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goal looked a bit too open when Sören Malmgren came free, but Alisson Becker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alisson Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliot Högman in the 76th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hisingen IK defense, Adrian Zbora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Einar Jernberg. The Hisingen IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Einar Jernberg should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Buffalo Timişoara's Valentin Voicu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Einar Jernberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Einar Jernberg was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Augusto Benitez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augusto Benitez really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. Alisson Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Vennerkvist in the 92nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Valentin Voicu put it in 2-7 from a short distance just to the right of Einar Jernberg. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Buffalo Timişoara walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
