In the 12th minute Jerónimo Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Sedzikowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jørgen Eisland was slow to take the kick. During this time Randkleve's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Randkleve's corner Jørgen Eisland fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edwin van der Sar quite easily take care of the ball. Lucjan Sedzikowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Santana in the 37th minute of play. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liu Hui Qi in the 43rd minute of the match.

If Al Bundy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Al Bundy in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute Randkleve were awarded a corner. Jørgen Eisland went to the cornerflag to take it.
