In the 7th minute, one of Ampthill FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ampthill FC. Argyris Loukoumakis had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Per Nienhaus's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Per Nienhaus scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Argyris Loukoumakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Per Nienhaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ampthill FC's zone, Per Nienhaus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Argyris Loukoumakis came out of the goal and Per Nienhaus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute of the game Andreas Trautermann made a throw-in which Rudolf Reichert played forward. Argyris Loukoumakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Alfonsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 21 minutes Ampthill FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ralf Szüczs who took care of the corner kick. Rudolf Reichert made a great header on FV Wienerwald's corner, it was just that Ampthill FC's Argyris Loukoumakis managed to reach the ball for a save. Anfilogino Alfonsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Argyris Loukoumakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ampthill FC's Argyris Loukoumakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Alfonsi in the 42nd minute of play. Argyris Loukoumakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Szüczs in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Per Nienhaus came free, but Argyris Loukoumakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Gez Little made the kick off in the second half. If Ralf Szüczs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st minute Ralf Szüczs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Argyris Loukoumakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ampthill FC's Zack Alderson was substituted for Gez Little. The supporters of FV Wienerwald booed when Ampthill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Numan Abanoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute Zack Alderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Mallinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argyris Loukoumakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Alfonsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Szüczs in the 78th minute of play forced Ampthill FC's goalkeeper Argyris Loukoumakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Argyris Loukoumakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Szüczs in the 78th minute of play. If Steffen Eisenheld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Mallinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zack Alderson in the 88th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Zack Alderson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Marcel Mallinger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Anfilogino Alfonsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FV Wienerwald played a much better game than Ampthill FC and deserved their victory. The Ampthill FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
